As a "public artist" I have entered numerous competitions over the years. Some I won, but most alluded me. About 1% is the ratio of success. I am not alone. It is the same for most artists who enter these lottery style play-offs.

Quite often talent, quality or even exactitude have nothing to do with selections by "art committees".

The following are just a few of these projects, that may still have a day in the world of "PUBLIC ART".

The last of many rejected proposals was the above idea of a mixed media mural for a university library.
